Conquering China in fast food
Quick service restaurant operator TFI TAB Food Investments added the Popeyes brand to its China operations which it started with Burger King in 2012. TFI has reached more than 1,000 Burger King restaurants over a short period of time in the country and targets 1,500 restaurants with Popeyes over the next 10 years. So the total number of its restaurants will reach 2,500. “We believe that we will carry the bar of success which we caught with Burger King in China in a short time, much higher,” Korhan Kurdoğlu, TFI TAB Food Investments CEO, said. “We’re very excited to grow together with TFI in the Chinese market,” said Josh Kobza, Chief Operating Officer of Restaurant Brands International (RBI), global owner of the brands.
